What Does HoopoeShare Do?
Hoopoe began with just 11 stories in text form. With the skills of illustrators, each story was brought to life — beautifully illustrated, printed, and distributed to children and families worldwide.
HoopoeShare supports global literacy and cultural understanding by providing children and families access to beautifully illustrated teaching stories that foster empathy, critical thinking, emotional development, and multicultural appreciation.
These stories — originally from regions such as Central Asia and the Middle East — are translated into many languages and delivered as printed books, online reads, animations, and audio.
How You Can Change Lives
Your donations help print and distribute these resources to underserved communities worldwide, including refugees and war-affected children, but also to children living in book-deserts in the UK.
Why This Matters
Literacy, the ability to read and write, is a fundamental skill for navigating a full life. Without it, a person's life opportunities are severely compromised.
